Debbie D. Douglas is a seasoned HR professional within the Media & Entertainment industry, specializing in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment within Human Resources. As a Director, (Creative) Talent Acquisition at ViacomCBS, she identifies and hires top talent for networks such as CBS Sports, Paramount+, BET, MTV, and Nickelodeon to name a few. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from SUNY-Stony Brook and later completed her Master of Science in Human Resources Management at The Milano Graduate School of The New School University-NY.
Debbie has also been a member of various professional organizations such as: NAMIC- National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications, CUP-Council of Urban Professionals, ColorComm, etc. Debbie has been recognized as one of “NV Magazine’s Mover & Shaker 2016” honorees, 10thAnnual Heroines of Excellence Award- June 2019, and appeared on various panels and articles sharing her expertise as an HR and Talent Acquisition professional for the likes of: Essence.Com-“E-Suite: The Art of the Pivot”, Payscale.com-“How to prepare for your first interview as a New Manager”, Complex Network-Inclusive Environment Panel, The Root (FB Live): A Live Career Q&A, Circle of Change Virtual Leadership-Conference, NY Urban League-“Women in Power”-Lessons in Leadership, and Gyrl Wonder-Summer Workshop to name a few.
Debbie has a passion for Community Service, Public Speaking, Mentorship, as well as Travel and Fitness in her leisure time. She is a Mentor for Save a Girl, Save a World, Inc and volunteered as a mentor for ViacomCBS’s “UpMentoring” program for high school students. Debbie was also the former Co-Chair, of the Professional Development Committee of VIACOMCBS “The BEAT”- Black Employee Access Group, Former Board member of Candice’s Sickle Cell Fund non-profit and an avid supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness nonprofit, The Yvonne McCalla Foundation, Inc.
