Diversity: How Employers Can Match Words With Deeds

Promises were made, now promises need to be kept. But that's the hard part. How can progress be jump-started? Based on experience with D&I initiatives, what works and what doesn't? What is the latest thinking on bias mitigation in hiring, inclusion, and promotion? What training and incentives are most effective for holding leaders accountable for making sustainable progress? And how can leaders have those uncomfortable conversations about what needs to happen–and who should be included in these conversations?

From Day One is a Recertification Provider for SHRM and HRCI. This session is eligible for 3 credits from both organizations. The Activity IDs will be sent to attendees after the conclusion of the session.

Workshop: How to Identify and Report DE&I Analytics to the Board

In 2020, we experienced BLM. In 2021, it was a reckoning of social justice for Asians and Asian Pacific Islanders. Both of these social dynamics took place alongside #MeToo and gender inequality. We’re in a wave of social justice and re-calibrating our values and ethics as our employees, investors, consumers and partners look on. Recalibrating values and ethics is the responsibility of the Chief Compliance Officer, and a failure to recalibrate appropriately is resulting in unions, shareholder lawsuits and increasing pressure to place employees on company boards. Join us as we discuss how Compliance Officers can identify and report on the key indicators of workforce equity and inclusion to their Board and leverage benchmark data to improve the diversity, equity and inclusion of their workforce.
