Mick MacLaverty is the CEO and co-founder of Highway Benefits, a company that helps employers offer student loan repayments and other educational assistance benefits to their employees. 

Mick is very passionate about the student debt crisis. He and co-founder, Cory Micheel, spent thousands of hours studying and researching the student debt crisis before starting Highway and maintain a firm belief that student debt is a massive problem that requires collaboration across many stakeholders to solve.

Originally from Chicago, Mick holds degrees from St. Lawrence University & UCLA. He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and baby son. 

Kelly Bourdet is the founder of Apparata Media, a content studio that works with health and technology brands and publications. She is the former Managing Editor of CNN Business and was the editor-in-chief of the technology and science publication Gizmodo. She was also the Deputy Editor of Refinery29, where she founded the site’s health and technology sections.
