Kendra Goldbas
McKinsey & CompanyKendra Proctor Goldbas is the Director of Professional Development for the McKinsey West Coast Offices. She is passionate about people and talent strategy; leadership and executive coaching; and building high-performing culture and community.
Kendra has oversight responsibility for professional development, project staffing and performance management for more than 1,000 McKinsey consultants across five Firm locations. She serves as a confidential counselor to consultants of all tenures on skill and career development, and provides strategic counsel, implementation support and risk management guidance to the West Coast Senior Partnership.
In 2019 Kendra was appointed to the West Coast Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Board. As a long time member of the McKinsey Black Network, Kendra is dedicated to ensuring that inclusive practices are embedded in all aspects of McKinsey culture; and she works closely with a broad range of colleagues to deliver a people strategy that attracts, retains and advances diverse talent.
Until her move to Seattle in 2015, Kendra was a member of the Mid Atlantic Office, where she spent six years leading professional development efforts in the Philadelphia location. In recognition of her contributions, Kendra was a recipient of the Joel Portnoy Award, an annual recognition of a Philadelphia office member who embraces the Firm's dual client and people mission with uncommon passion, curiosity, and generosity to others.
Kendra first joined McKinsey in 2000 as an Associate in the Johannesburg office. And for nearly three years, she primarily served clients in the consumer packaged goods industry. Prior to rejoining McKinsey in 2008, Kendra was the Associate Director for the University of Pennsylvania Institute for Urban Research where she led day-to-day operations and oversaw board relations. She holds a M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. in Public Policy from Brown University. She is a member of the Links, Inc. and serves on the University of Washington Dean’s Council for the School of Public Health.
Kendra lives in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle with her husband and two sons.
