The Gender Penalty: Women and Inequity at Work

While there is promising progress in addressing gender inequity at work, women still encounter obstacles. Among them fewer promotion opportunities, the motherhood penalty, menopause stigma, the glass cliff, childcare issues, microaggressions, ageism, and the persistent gender pay gap. These complex barriers to women's advancement are deeply entrenched and cannot be overcome by tick-the-box solutions like one-off DE&I workshops. Instead it demands systemic change driven by committed leadership, allies, and women supporting each other toward a transformed work culture.

During this informative and insightful workshop, we will delve into the impacts of inequity, identify both explicit and implicit biases, call out the systemic issues fueling gender gaps, and empower leaders to take intentional, consistent action as advocates for women in the workplace.
