Sunya Norman is the VP of Global Impact and ESG Strategy at Salesforce, where she leads ESG strategy and reporting, corporate impact communications, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. She is passionate about using business to create happy, healthy communities. Sunya has an MBA from Presidio Graduate School, a BA from Brown University, and over ten years of experience building ESG programs at diverse organizations, from nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies. Her best days involve bringing people together, problem solving, and crafting stories to inspire change.

As President of the AT&T Foundation and AVP of Corporate Social Responsibility, Nicole oversees the philanthropic budget and CSR marketing/communications efforts for AT&T.  Her team oversees disaster relief strategy and manages the AT&T Employee Relief Fund, a public charity funded by employee and corporate donations to provide financial assistance to employees impacted by natural disasters and personal hardships.

Prior to this role, Nicole oversaw AT&T Aspire – a multi-million-dollar philanthropic commitment to drive innovation in education by connecting young people with opportunities.  She began her career at AT&T as part of its flagship leadership development program.

Nicole’s commitment to finding new solutions for social issues started at an early age watching her father design affordable housing in the San Francisco Bay Area and accompanying him to community meetings.  She joined a Congressional campaign soon after college that took her from her native Bay Area to Washington, DC.  After working on the Hill as a legislative analyst handling issues from education to telecommunications, she took her experience to the University of California’s Federal Relations office and next, to AT&T.

Nicole serves on the board of Independent Sector, America’s Promise Alliance, the Dallas Zoological Society, and the Commit Partnership.  She is a chair of the Conference Board’s CSR Council. Nicole holds a B.A. in political science from UC San Diego, and an M.B.A. from UT Austin. She and her husband live in Dallas with their two sons.

Byron leads corporate responsibility at Organon, a new pharma company focused on the health of women. He is also responsible for managing how the company engages its relevant stakeholders on a variety of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues. Prior to Organon, Byron led  ESG communications at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where he also had responsibility for the company's corporate social responsibility efforts in the United States and Canada while supporting the company's global health and access strategy around the world. Before joining Teva, Byron led the healthcare practice at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), a global business network and consultancy focused on building the capacity of large companies to become more sustainable and socially responsible. At BSR, he advised over 25 companies in the biopharmaceutical and medical device industry on their ESG and sustainability strategies. Prior to BSR, Byron managed and developed global health partnerships at Johnson & Johnson, where he engaged a variety of stakeholders in the fields of NCDs, HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, and digital health. Byron began his career in global health at an HIV/AIDS NGO based in South Africa called mothers2mothers International and later served as a management consultant at Rabin Martin in New York City.

Byron earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and his BA from Princeton University.

Dawn Emling has 20+ years of experience in the overlapping sectors of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and international development. Dawn is currently the Head of Sustainability Initiatives at Lincoln Financial Group. Previously she served as Head of Sustainability & CSR Strategy for Thomson Reuters where she designed and led two global platforms: the ESG Footprint Committee and the ESG Institute. From 2010 to 2016 Dawn led a consulting firm specializing in sustainability and served as COO of a social impact startup. Between 2006 and 2010, she held two leadership positions with Credit Suisse as the Head of Sustainability in EMEA and the Head of Community Investment & Sustainability in Asia. Early in her career, she was a Senior Advisor to the United States Agency for International Development with a focus on democracy and human rights.

Eric Roston is sustainability editor of Bloomberg News. Prior to Bloomberg he was a senior analyst for the White House commission investigating the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. He has worked at Duke University's Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions and the think tank Resources for the Future, and has consulted for the U.S. Department of State as a climate change expert. His book, The Carbon Age, was published by Bloomsbury USA. A former member of TIME magazine's Washington bureau, he has an M.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and a B.A from Columbia College.
